Description
My second screenprint: five layers, using an appropriated X-ray of lungs (internet credit) converted into a halftone (blue layer); a halftone of a lung cancer cell (red layer); hand-drawn mandala (yellow and green layers); and hand-drawn flowering plants (gradient-green layer).
This is a continuation on the theme I started in Monotype using the subject of flowering plants emanating out from a pair of lungs to signify growth of life out of death or illness. Inspired by the passing away of a close family friend. RIP.
